This simple board book invites the reader on a bus ride around the
city. People meet up as they get on board, and then embark on a trip through
the city. They both see and hear the city in its taxis, curved park roads, wailing
sirens and more. All of this is told with a very minimum of text and very bold,
colorful illustrations.
I really appreciated this board book for its
accessibility to the very youngest of book readers. We're encouraged to read
even to our babies and this book is a perfect fit to that purpose. The colors
are very bold but not to an intensity that would overstimulate a baby. The text
is simple and written in a nice rhyming cadence. This would be a great choice
for those looking for a book to start reading with their babies.
