When her dad loses his job, Christa’s parents put the family’s
cabin on Whitefish Lake up for sale. Christa meets Alex, a boy whose grandpa
might have a cabin-saving secret. Al Capone left behind a fortune hidden
somewhere nearby. Many say Alex’s grandpa received that money. Alex, however,
is new to Whitefish and doesn’t know for sure. Can the duo find the treasure
and save Christa’s family cabin?
This book is entertaining and filled with tongue-in-cheek
humor. The characters are engaging and believable. The mystery is well written
and draws the reader into the story. Lovable and filled with the dynamics of a
building friendship, fans of mysteries, adventures, and friendship stories will
enjoy reading this book. EL. OPTIONAL. Reviewer: Jessica M, Library Media
