Callie and Sparky are extremely
helpful. They bring back jackalopes, manage disputes, paint barns, and move big
rocks. But, what happens when Callie and Sparky get stuck in a deep canyon and
need help themselves? Will the townspeople come to the rescue?
The illustrations are colorful
and befitting of the tv series. The text is slightly more challenging than one
would expect with a Pre-1 reader, but early readers will get drawn into the
story. The text and pictures complement each other well. Young readers will
enjoy reading this with some help or having it read aloud to them. PreK, EL
