Emma earns money through modeling, even though sports is more her thing. When her little brother injures her face with a bad football toss, Emma is worried, she really needed the extra money to buy presents with. But her most important client, Mona, assures her that its not that bad, and hires her to work with a tricky client. A client who turns out is very very mean. Now the school bully, Olivia has the modeling job and is also being mean. Emma must face her self image and learn how to give presents that don’t cost money, the best kind of all.
I never do get sick of reading this series, the characters just grow as people and keep learning interesting life lessons. I like that they confronted outside beauty in this one, which is a big issue for girls. I am going to be honest here, the students that read it will maybe read 4 of them, tops, and be ready for something else, since their attention is constantly pulled in many directions. I am keeping the first 6 or so in the series, but I probably wouldn’t keep adding past that.
