The Snowman and the Snowdog by Raymond Briggs - ADVISABLE

Its been thirty years since the first Snowman book was published.  Now Random House has commissioned a new story based on the original.  A new boy has come to the old house and he finds the hat a scarf hidden under a floor board.  Feeling inspired, he not only builds a new snowman, but he also makes a snowdog. After a wonderful night playing with the characters after they come alive, Billy finds a special surprise in the morning.

Not that I am encouraging little kids to build snowmen in the shape of things that they want in hopes that they will become real in the morning, but how can you resist adorableness? Perfect addition to any wintertime collection.
