All Different Now is a beautiful Civil War picture book illustrated in watercolor. It celebrates June 19th the African American Emanicpation Day. The glorious day when the African slaves were freed from the south. It includes notes from the author and illustrator as well as a timeline of the events that occurred. I appreciated the way the illustrator portrayed their facial expressions. I can imagine how wonderful it felt to finally be free.
