Nadia and Nate thought they were safe from the Chairman's wrath, and the Chairman couldn't believe that he wouldn't end up getting his way. Turns out both parties were wrong. How far can the battle of wits and intimidation go before it starts hurting innocent people?
While the premise is still very intriguing to me, Resistance was harder to read than Replica was for two reasons. First of all, the conflict was very confusing. While readers know that Thea didn't die, there is a development in Resistance that did not have enough set up during the story before the plot twist was revealed. Secondly, the sexual content got worse. I didn't like putting up with it during the Replica and I really didn't like dealing with it in this one. Those scenes did not have much--if anything--to add, so that content was unnecessary.
