Room 10B goes in for flu
shots and they come out with the power to read minds. Together they figure out the parameters of
their new power and uncover secrets and gossip that change relationships and
personalities. There are about twenty
kids who get the power, and the story touches on some more than others.
This is an entertaining idea and the story
isn’t told from any one perspective, but tries to come across as telling
everyone’s story. For the most part I
enjoyed it. My complaints are that there
were too many characters to keep track of and the ending seemed like it was
going to wrap up and make sense, but then it felt like the author forced an
open ending to perpetuate a series. Also
the “F” word was totally out of left field and didn’t really tie in with the
tone of the book.
