Cassandra and Aiden
are deeply in love, but Cassie doesn’t know all of Aiden’s secrets-the biggest
one being that he is Apollo the Greek god.
Cassandra is psychic but it frustrates her that she can’t see her own
future. Athena and Hermes are gods who
are trying to understand why they are dying a slow death, and they are told to find
Cassandra because she will help them.
Eventually all the characters come together to fight against an evil
that is tearing up the earth and leaving death in its wake.
The first part of this story was slow and I
felt like the blending of the ancient gods with modern humans was confusing. Once the conflict of the
story became clear then it was hard to put the book down and I can’t wait to
read more in this series. The violence is disgusting, but they are fighting
against monsters. I would have the book
be advisable, but between the violence and the overuse of the “F” word it became optional.
HS-OPTIONAL.
