Rifka’s parents are actors that
act in the Yiddish Theater in New York. She loves watching them perform and
helping them get ready each night. Then, one day she gets an unexpected chance
to perform as well Will she shine? The
illustrations have good contrast and seem befitting of the time period the
author is trying to establish. The story is long, but will appeal to those
interested in theater setting books. Recommended for larger libraries or
libraries for whom this book fits their community’s needs. EL (K-3). OPTIONAL.
