Caterina is a little
brown bird who hates surprises. She
likes to make lists and she plans the perfect party for all of her forest
friends, so when it rains she is heartbroken that her party will be
ruined. She quickly realizes that the
most important list that she has is the list of her friends and they are what
will make the party fun. So regardless
of the rain, they all have a great time.
This book has a cute message about not always having control, but to see
the good in what appears to be a bad situation.
The illustrations are great with a mix of collage and drawings. My only complaint is that while Caterina is
planning her party it has a few parts with side dialogue going on between two of the characters
which makes it confusing.
