Barrett, Mary Brigid Pat-a-Cake, illustrated by LeUyen Pham.  BOARD BOOK.  Candlewick, 2014.  $7.  Content: G.  Barrett takes the traditional Pat-a-cake song and adds new lyrics to its sing-song rhythm.  Pham’s bright, rollick illustrations add to the fun.  This would be great for a pre-school to teach to their entire contingent and sing along together.  Pre-K – ADVISABLE.  Cindy, Library Teacher

Barrett, Mary Brigid All Fall Down illustrated by LeUyen Pham.  BOARD BOOK.  Candlewick, 2014.  $7.  Content: G.  Supposedly this borad book rewrites the Ring-around-the-Rosie song with new lyrics.  While Pham’s illustrations are exuberant, I had no luck finding the rhythm in the new song.  I even spent some time online to see if I could find a different traditional version, but no luck.  I am stumped by this one.  Pre-K – NO.  Cindy, Library Teacher
