Octopus is shy and likes to watch the sea creatures from her little
cave, but three seahorses keep trying to play with her. In her attempts to get away from the sea
horses she ends up in a dark and secluded part of the sea and realizes that she
misses the sea animals that live around her cave. She moves back to her cave and learns to be
friends and play with the sea horses.
The
illustrations in this book are clean and bright and the text is about two
sentences per page, so it reads fast.
The story isn’t super engaging and I don’t know if kids will really
relate to the octopus who likes to be by herself, but knows she doesn’t want to
be alone.
