Lemke, Donald Batman:
Who is Clayface? Illustrated by Steven
E. Gordon HarperCollins, 2013.
$3.99 EARLY READER Content: PG.
Clayface is a villain who can take on other people’s faces, so he
pretends to be Bruce Wayne and goes to the bank to still a million dollars
cash. Batman follows him to a museum and
tries to confront him, but he takes on the different looks of the statues
around him. Eventually, Batman gets
ahold of Clayface and turns him over to the police.
This is a good storyline with typical hero
behavior. The reason it is PG is because
Clayface is a scary looking fella-my five year old said he gives him
nightmares. There is a lot of text for
an early reader, so it’s geared towards a reader who has been reading for a
while.
