Paul and Sally Small live in Small Hall, which, in fact, is
huge. On the night of the Small Hall Grand Ball Paul loses his beloved teddy
when he and his sister try to sneak a peek at what is happening at the party.
So begins a grand adventure as the two Smalls attempt to recover Mr. Puddles
all the while trying not to be caught out of bed.
A simple book that is somewhat lacking in charm. The story
is a tad scattered in tone and leaves the reader wanting more in the way of an
adventure. With an entire palatial home to run around and hide in, the children
seem to rush through the rooms in a blur with the book finishing without it
seeming like anything really happened.
