This is a simple counting book using illustrations and names of
dinosaurs. Each page has around
three to six words of text and has cartoonish illustrations of dinosaurs,
including velociraptors, deinosuchus, herbivores, parasaurolophus,
pterodactyls, deinonychus, tyrannosaurus and stegosaurus. The last page says that there are zero
dinosaurs because they are extinct.
I have a couple of issues with this book: first, dinosaur names are hard to pronounce, so I think it
helps to have a place that helps with the pronunciation; second, some pages are
confusing because they don’t just have the number of dinosaurs listed but they
have included a predator or have a dinosaur flying at the top of the page.
