Fury by Elizabeth Miles - NO

Miles, Elizabeth Fury, 346 p. Simon Pulse, AUGUST 2011.  $18.  Language: R; Violence: PG-13.  Emily covets her best friend’s boyfriend, Zach.  Gabby is out of town and Zach has been sending signals, so she figures now is the perfect time to catch him.  Chase is desperate to fit in with the rich crowd at school.  With his football skills, he earned a place, but he always has to work hard to maintain it.  Usually he goes from girl to girl, a trail of broken hearts behind him, but a totally hot newcomer catches his eye and he is obsessed – he’ll do anything to get het attention.  Something is fishy, but these teenagers won’t wake up until almost everything is lost.  Miles tries to bring in some subtle Furies action into a pretty typical teenage drama.  These kids would have screwed up their lives without the Furies help.  If you really want some Greek drama for older teens, try Darkness Becomes Her by Kelly Keaton or Starcrossed by Josephine Angelini instead.  NO.
