Barry, Dave and Ridley Pearson The Bridge to Never Land, 448 p. Disney, 2011.
Sarah and her brother Aidan enjoyed the Peter and the Starcatchers books when they were published, but when they discover a mysterious piece of paper in a secret hiding place, with its strange symbols and odd message, their minds start whirling. Could these books be about true people and places? Did all of this stuff really happen? Sarah and Aidan don’t know it, but they are about to embark on a wonderful adventure – straight to Never Land – and smack dab into adventure. The Starcatchers’ enemies are still out there, desperate to get their hands on any amount of starstuff. And if they can take it straight from Never Land, so much the better.
Aidan and Sarah are extremely clever and so much fun to follow. Barry and Pearson have really outdone themselves, keeping the series fresh without becoming contrived. Awesome!
