Michele’s world is turned upside down when her mother dies and she is forced to move in with her rich grandparents in New York City. When she discovers a key that un-locks the possibility of time travel, Michele is drawn back in time over and over. Her travels seemed to be linked to a series of family members, who can see her when few else can, but there is someone else. A guy, who has haunted her dreams since childhood, and Michele can’t help but fall in love with him. She finds herself scrambling to find a way to bring them together, all while getting to know a huge branch of her family tree and sharing their story.
Combining Science fiction, historical fiction, and a love story, this book is a whirlwind of movement.
Despite being reminiscent of a few movies I have enjoyed and containing a few plot holes, this book is still an engaging and fun read. What surprised me the most in this book was the lesson of understanding and appreciating family and the attention to historic detail.
