Orloff, Karen Kaufman. I Wanna New Room, Catrow, David (Illustrator) Putnam Juvenile, 2010. PICTURE BOOK. $16.99. Language-G; Violence-G; Sexual Content-G. Inside cover: “Alex is desperate for his own room. No hard-working, well-behaved, practically grown up boy should have to put up with sharing a room with a brother who always breaks stuff, barks like a walrus, and sticks crayons up his nose. Just because his new sister came along shouldn’t mean that the number one kid has to suffer!” I liked this book because it had a lot of great illustrations. This book was really funny. I liked how instead of normal text, they wrote letters to each other. EL- (K-3). ESSENTIAL. Student Reviewer: JL- age 8
