Jill Jekel has always obeyed her parents’ rules, especially the rule that she’s not supposed to open the box in her father’s office. When Jill finds her dad murdered and her college savings gone, however, she grows suspicious of what her father was really up to. When Jill gets teamed up with Tristen Hyde, her worst enemy, for a project, she discovers that they have both been looking into the history Jekyll and Hyde. When the two open her father’s box, the realize that the story of Dr. Jekyll and Mr Hyde was not a story at all, but reality. The two decide to recreate the experiments in hopes of getting college scholarships. When Jill accidentally tastes one of the formulas, however, her darkest nature comes out and she soon is having the urge to risk everything in order to be bad. Can the two get a handle on the experiments or will their experiments consume them?
A great romance for fans of paranormal fiction. The characters are well-developed. The plot is enjoyable. Readers who like fantasy, paranormal romance, science fiction, and classics will enjoy reading this book. MS. HS. ADVISABLE. Reviewer: Jessica M, Library Media Specialist, Olympus Jr. High.
