Kladstrup, Kristin A Night in Santa’s Great Big Bag, illustrated by Tim Jessell.  Viking (Penguin), 2010.  $16.99.  PICTURE BOOK.  Lamb is so excited to see Santa that he climbs into the bag and rejoices with each toy as it finds its new home – until Lamb is left all alone.  But it isn’t an ending for Lamb – instead it is just the beginning!  What a great Santa book.  The illustrations are gorgeous and add just the right old-fashioned touch to the book.  I can’t wait to add my own copy to my holiday collection.  EL – ESSENTIAL.
