Feeling Happy by Rosalyn Clark –OPTIONAL

Clark, Rosalyn Feeling Happy 24 pgs. Bumba Books (Lerner), 2018.  $20.

This book helps younger readers to understand when and why they might be feeling happy, what it looks like, and how to help make others happy. It includes expressive photographs and little stop and thinks.

This book would work well for a Pre-K or K teacher, or even a school counselor, on teaching about emotions. I think as adults we take it for granted to be able to identify and understand what we are feeling, but young children don’t have that ability. This is a clear and easy to understand explanation that will help young readers. I have rated it as optional because it would only see circulation if you had a teacher who was doing a unit.

Pre-K, EL (K-3), -OPTIONAL.  Stephanie Elementary School Librarian & Author
