Dig is a hungry young orphan trying to score some food at the local medieval market when he gets captured by a couple of Blood Cultists who want to offer him up to an underground monster so their leader can have all cosmic power (and possibly offer a better health plan to his followers). Dig discovers he has two cellmates, Iana and Crina. Together they escape and plan to climb the underground tower and escape. Between the three of them, they have some mad skills.
There is some fun humor here. The Blood Cultists aren’t that bright. While the plot is pretty straightforward, it’s a good ride getting to the ending though Iana and Crina throw in a few kissing scenes that don’t seem necessary to the story.
