Princess Serena doesn’t feel serene at all during princess
lessons, they are boring and useless. In fact, she would prefer to be in knight
school –but her father, the King, will only let her if she completes a quest of
kindness -12 deeds total -with proof. So the self titled Princess Pulverizer sets out and along the way meets
some new friends who also don’t fit quite right into the life roles allocated
to them either.
This reminds me a bit of Princess in Black, but longer and
with even more spirit. I like the breaking of norms for younger readers and
this is nicely written book with great cover appeal, fun illustrations
throughout, and well realized engaging characters.
