Exile for Dreamers by Kathleen Baldwin - ADVISABLE

Baldwin, Kathleen Exile for Dreamers (Stranje House 2), 361 pages. TOR Teen, 2016.  $18.  Language: PG (5 swears, 0 ‘f’); Mature Content: G; Violence: PG (brief mentions without excess description).

The ladies are back at Stranje House, but one day a large group of men comes to kidnap Georgiana.  It is only through the interference of Tess and Gabriel, Lord Ravencross, that Georgiana is safe.  Tess’s dreams have become more frequent and she is afraid that she will descend into madness like her mother before her, but she can’t keep herself away from Gabriel, nor can she abandon her fellow Unusual Girls.  When Daneska is captured and brought to the house in chains, the stakes only get higher.

I liked this one much more than the first.  Daneska does not come off as an all powerful villain, though she gives the girls a run for their money and each of the girls’ personalities and exposed further, making them all more relatable.
