This book contains twelve very short, heavily illustrated
chapters about different animals who are experiencing various forms of angry or
want to be angry. In each encounter the creature try different methods of
coping with the anger. The final short chapter features a day for all of the
animals that contains no anger.
I wanted to love this book, its artsy as can be. I hoped each
chapter would be like little fables and I would be charmed by the unique little
creatures. But I did not enjoy slogging through each odd and uninteresting
chapter. I only kept going hoping for some redemptive feature to tie everything
together, maybe with the squirrel as the instigator, but it was just never
happened. The artwork is reminiscent of the 1950-60’s, and was fun to look at.
