Breathtakingly beautiful illustrations of the plants and
animals of the forest. The text reads
like free verse poetry and the forest itself is personified. The Forest tells about the different seasons
of the forest and what happens when; the buds and birds of the spring and the
leaves and bugs of the fall. Finally,
footprints in the winter snow and the truth, “Forest knows everything belongs.” The story ends with the illustration of a
young boy playing with his dog in the forest.
