The sheep have had enough! Why are they the
only animals on the farm to be sheered? Why must they shiver in the cold and
take terrible medicine when they catch colds? They sheep are on strike!
As an adult reader, I found the social commentary of the
book clever; however, young readers might not catch a lot of the sophisticated
social references without classroom instruction. This would make a fantastic
companion text for teaching working conditions and civil disobedience. The
writing was a bit bland, but the pictures were fun and the message is relevant.
