Kids Can Press, 2013. $16.95 PICTURE BOOK.  Which is round, the apple or the armadillo?  The answer seems obvious until the apple is eaten to the core and the armadillo curls up into a ball.  Now which one is round?  This book looks at different animals or objects and prompts readers to compare shape, size, speed, length, height and color.  We were pleasantly surprised many times and the outcome of some of the comparisons.  The words and illustrations are simple yet pleasant.  This is a great snuggle book but could also be used in a classroom when discussion comparisons or simply exploring critical thinking skills.  Not to mention the fact that the book is simply fun to read!
