A graphic novel
introduction to Poseidon, his adventures and his offspring. The author even
clues us in on why Poseidon, god of the sea, chooses the horse, a land creature,
as his sacred animal. We meet his ‘monstrous’ children and find out his
feelings towards his family. Includes fact sheets, recommended reading, and
discussion questions.
Although this wasn't my favorite of this series by this author, it was still a fantastic
read. The artwork is top notch and really brings, some often confusing myths,
to life. There is just enough sexy scenes that it’s not appropriate for
elementary school. I think this series will jump start the interest in Greek/Roman
mythology for older students.
