This
book, based on the movie Epic, introduces the little people who live in the
forest. The story doesn’t follow any one
character, but gives an overview of the whole story while introducing multiple
characters with small descriptions. Nod
is a Leafman who helps protect the forest, but he is not sure he wants to be a
Leafman because he likes to do what he wants, but after helping to protect the
new bud from the evil Boggans, he decides it’s not so bad to be a Leafman.
This book touches mostly on the different
characters throughout with a very broad summary. The pictures are bright and detailed, frames
that have been taken from the movie. The
wording is simple and each page has about five lines of text.
