Tilda’s life is decidedly dull until the Joell-Rogers pull in with their
pirate ship next door. Neither her
parents, her fellow students, nor any of the townspeople are happy with the
pirates and event he town council tries to force them out. When the pirates do finally depart,
they leave secret somethings behind them.
Duddle’s illustrations alone are a big reason to buy this book. The great story is just gravy. And who doesn’t need more excuses to
talk like a pirate?
