The Family Hitchcock by Levin and Flackett - OPTIONAL

Levin, Mark & Flackett, Jennifer The Family Hitchcock, 277 pgs. Katherine Tegen Books, 2011. Language - PG (30 swears, 0 "f"), Sexual Content - PG; Violence - PG;

The Hitchcock family don't get along, and the kids Maddy and Benji are happy to stay that way in their separate lives. But when summer rolls around, head-of-household Roger Hitchcock announces their plans for a summer trip to Paris. Although frustrating and full of surprises, the trip turns out to be just what the Hitchcock's needed.

After the first chapter you know the plot: unhappy family goes on a trip, trials bond them, they go home as a happy family. Knowing the entire plot right off the bat was a disappointment, but the aforementioned trials did spice it up. If you enjoy action, this is a book for you, just don't expect any variation from this over-used plot.
