Cookiebot (A Harry & Horsie Adventure) by Katie Van Camp -ADVISABLE

Van Camp, Katie and Illustrated by Agnew, Lincoln Cookiebot (A Harry & Horsie Adventure), 32 pgs. Balzer + Bray, 2011. $11.55.
Harry & his friend Horsie (aka his stuffed horse) are craving cookies. Fortunately they are technologically adept so they set about creating a robot to raid the cookie jar. He works! Then something happens they didn’t expect, the robot became obsessed with cookies, and goes on a rampage in their city! Can Harry & Horsie save the day? Not to mention saving all the cookies!
Some of the best artwork I have seen so far! It has movement, personality, noise, and life. the artwork does really creates this story, in fact, the words are almost unnecessary. The text of the story is fairly simple and would work best for pre-K. Reminds me of Calvin & Hobbes a little.
PRE-K –ADVISABLE. Reviewer: Stephanie MLS graduate.
