Twinderella: A Fractioned Fairy
Tale Illustrated by Deborah Marcero PICTURE BOOK G.P. Putnam’s Sons, 2017. $17.99
Content: G.
Cinderella has a less
well-known twin named Tinderella. They
divide all the chores and help with all the problems of the stepsisters, so
when the Godmother comes to ready them for the ball, they share in the fun
too. Both sisters dance with the prince
and in the end, the fairy godmother doubles the prince so they each have a
husband. They split the responsibilities
and both live happily ever after.
This
is a fun math book about halves. The
story reads as a rhyme, making it a fun read aloud. I didn’t love the illustrations and it was a
bit weird that the prince was just cloned, but it is a fun twist on the usually
Cinderella.
