We are introduced to nine different animals, starting with their eyes. The reader is first invited to make a guess about which animal it is, then there is a full picture of the creature and a description. The last page for each animal shows it in its environment and you have to search through the picture to find it where it’s camouflaged. At the end of the book there is a glossary that gives more in depth information about each animal. The illustrations are really classy and elegant. I wish the rhyming descriptions for each animal were a little more clear for younger readers, but as a whole it’s an impressive book.
