A group of young galactic beings are headed to a ritzy
planet to find new lives. On the last
night of their voyage, they exchange stories that they have heard about Luke
Skywalker, the mysterious, force-wielding figure that is such a large presence
in the galaxy. They also learn something
important about themselves.
Liu brings a variety of stories about Luke to this
novel. Some odd, some interesting, some
humorous – they all show Luke at some point of his journey to learn about the
Force (except for the farcical one that starts the tales off). All of the tales are from new places around
the galaxy with new characters and from different times of his life. Hardcore Star Wars fans will enjoy this most
for filling in the holes between movies.
