Under Earth/Under Water by Aleksandra Mizielinski and Daniel Mizielinski -ADVISABLE

Mizielinski, Aleksandra and Daniel Under Earth/Under Water, 60 pgs Big picture press (candlewick), 2015. $35.00. NON-FICTION
This oversized book is stuffed with information! From one side it covers everything under the Earth from burrowing animals, to pipes, to fossils and ton more. From the other side is covers everything under the Sea like deep sea fish, quite a bit about divers, coral reefs, submarines, and much more. Filled with detailed drawings and information, so there is plenty to read and see. My favorite was describing the exploration of a large underground cave system, it was like going on a journey with little stops for amazing and cool facts.
This book would be so much fun for a reader to explore! I would still offer this for checkout, though it is quite expensive to replace. Its so detailed that a teacher might not be able to easily share, but there are a many pages that might be worth the effort with a smaller group. I usually rage when there isn’t photographs in informational books, but this one might have earned itself an exception.
