Four chicken siblings are suspicious of a new
box in their backyard. After they run surveillance
they get stuck in a storm and have to hide out in the new box. They meet the new bunny who is housed in the
box and then their mom comes for them, gives them a wash and hangs them on the
laundry line.
The illustrations in this
book are adorable. Even though they are done in black and white, the chickens
have great facial expressions. The story
line is predictable and the chickens get side tracked often, making for long dialogue that is hard to follow. This is
one of three books in the chicken squad series.
