Neil and Liz Maloney are very quickly
caught up in the family business, which happens to include protecting a
particular looking phone box outside their home. As one of the
Weathermen, their father is entrusted with helping usher in each season in its
turn. When things don’t go as planned, the Maloney’s must work together
to get the world back on track and defeat their neighbor, Mrs. Fitzgerald’s,
plan to control all the weather herself.
The complicated plot is somewhat
difficult to follow, especially with the amount of characters involved in the
story; however, the story is packed with twists and turns. Neil and Liz
take turns narrating their separate plotlines, which can be confusing to
readers, but eventually, helps put all the pieces of the mystery in place at
the climax. Filled with fun characters, both realistic and fantasy, the
story is one where each person’s talents are needed to help the family set the
world’s weather in order.
