Flyte, Min Box: What would you do
with a box? Nosy Crow (Candlewick), 2015. $15.99 PICTURE
BOOK
A simple story about a small group of children and boxes. The reader
first lifts flaps to discover what is inside the box that each child has. Then
the reader discovers what each child build separately. When the children build
together, the reader gets to see large projects made of boxes.
This is an adorable book with charming illustrations. It jump
starts the imagination and would be perfect for a pre-k class or daycare
activity as the words are very simple. I was hoping it was more of a craft book
for a bit older reader, so I won’t be adding this to the school library,
although it would make a great gift for young child.
