A dinosaur named Patchi is born with his brothers and sisters, but he is
a bit clumsy and curious. Another
dinosaur tries to take Patchi, and in the process he puts a hole in Patchi’s
frill on his head. Patchi feels small
and insignificant, but after he gets lost during the first migration he becomes
friends with Juniper and they help each other through the migration. Patchi becomes strong and helps other
dinosaurs the next time they have to migrate.
There are multiple things wrong with this book. First, the pictures are taken from the movie
and they are dark and blurry which makes it hard to figure out what is in the picture. Second, it’s an early reader but it says the
dinosaurs species over and over, which I think makes it hard for an early
reader. Third, it tries to tell too much
of the story and it comes across choppy and uninteresting.
