Seamus is
continuing on with his trouble making schooling at the Kilter Academy.
Mysteries keep piling up. Elinor hasn't come back, Anika –the headmistress, has him
following a teacher, his mom has been acting oddly, and more. When Seamus drags
his friends along on a big secret mission, they discover a place where out of
control children are being trained to basically torture adults. Will they be
able to escape?
Again, still a
very readable book with lots of intriguing mysteries. This second book disturbed
me just as much as the first one, with its inventive torture scenarios such as
a little girl on an inter-tube set adrift in an empty pool refilled with scorpions,
snakes, and spiders, not to mention the adults being re-schooled. I wouldn't let this book near my library.
