Morpurgo, Michael Meeting Cezanne, unpaged. Candlewick, 2013. $16.
A
young boy is working in his aunt and uncle’s restaurant in Southern France, but
make s a huge mistake when he throws away a tabletop drawing by a very famous
visitor. He will do whatever he wants to
in order to make his mistake good.
Adults seem to be fascinated with this little book – much more than any
child would be. Why would Yannick’s
relatives never use the name of the famous painter for the month that Yannick
is there? I just found it odd. Buy this for an adult who might enjoy the
artwork, but don’t bother with buying this for children. GIFT – OPTIONAL. Cindy, Library Teacher
