Key, Watt Deep Water, 260 pages. Farrar Straus Giroux (Macmillan), 2018. $23.

After adjusting to life with her Mom and her new job in
Atlanta. Julie is excited to get back to the Gulf Coast with her dad and to
their mutual love of scuba-diving.
Unfortunately, their first clients of the summer are an entitled kid
from her old school and his snob of a father.
Diving is dangerous enough when everything is going right, but when
something goes wrong both below and above, Julie has to try her best to keep
herself and their clients alive until hopefully someone can find and rescue
them. There are more dangers than just
sharks in the oceans.
I have liked all of Key’s adventure books. I think my absolute favorite is Terror at
Bottle Creek. Kids who enjoy taut
adventure stories will continue to enjoy this one.
