Tansy is a country mouse who
loves living among the flowers and butterflies and working in her garden. One day she meets a mouse named Will from the
city and they become fast friends. They
go on adventures and play, but eventually Will has to go back home to the city. Tansy visits him there but much prefers the
country. Because they are such good
friends they miss being with each other and eventually decide to live in a
place in the middle that isn’t too city or too country.
This is a cute book about compromise and
friendship. The illustrations are
photographs of staged mice among gardens and little houses. I like the story but the illustrations, as
creative as they are, aren’t very appealing.
