Two squirrels are trying to give away some of their nuts. They are sick of eating nuts for every meal
and they have such a large supply that they have nuts everywhere. At the end, the squirrels don’t want the
reader to shut the book because they want them to take the nuts.
This book is fun to read aloud with its
rhyming text. The text is in dialogue
bubbles and it’s the squirrels talking to the reader. The illustrations are expressive and
funny. If your new readers enjoy Mo
Willems’ Pig and Elephant, they will enjoy this early reader as well.
