Sepora and Tarik, the Falcon King, are engaged to be married, but they are having
trouble navigating their relationship because of a breach in trust. Sepora still cares for Tarik’s country of Theoria and
wants to help the people survive the Quiet Plague and the threat of invasion
from outlying kingdoms. Sepora turns to
her parents, the king and queen of Serubel for guidance and Tarik relies on his
advisors, but until they can rely on each other the kingdom of Theoria might
not survive.
This is the second and
final book in the Nemesis series and it has a satisfying conclusion. This book has a lot more magical elements than
the first book and there is more war and political intrigue. Sepora and
Tarik are great characters and the world building has been done well. The content is heated make out sessions and war violence.
