Gobbly Goat feels hungry but can’t find anything that
looks good to eat. He tries to eat
apples but they are too high, he tastes a straw hat but it tastes funny. He eventually spots some berries in cream inside
the house, so he sneaks in to eat them and the flowers on the table as
well.
The illustrations of Gobbly Goat
are adorable and there are four lines of rhyming text per page to tell the story. There is a red button at the right hand edge
of the book that when pushed makes the bleating sounds of the goat. I’m not sure how long sound effects on books last at a library and the book is cute but the story isn’t super exciting.
